In our adult lives, as we pursue careers and studies, juggle priorities, relationships and various other commitments, it’s sometimes easy to forget the younger version of ourselves and remember how we navigated through the challenges and feelings of our teenage years.
So, we’re inviting all Loughborough staff and students to write an open letter (of up to 500 words) to your teenage self. What would you tell them? Perhaps you would reassure them or tell them things that you’d wished you’d have known at the time.
Alternatively, maybe you would like to share nostalgic photographs, your great (and maybe not so great!) teenage creations, or a book or person that inspired and defined you at the time.
All submissions can be confidentially sent to Nadine Skinner by emailing N.E.Skinner@lboro.ac.uk. Please state in your email if you’re happy to be named or would rather stay anonymous.
We will also be hosting a live event on Monday 8 March where a selection of letters will be read aloud by their authors. More information about the event – including booking details – can be found here.
