Call-out for staff and students to contribute to University response to increase BAME student participation in PGR study

Staff and students are invited to engage with the University’s response to the Office for Students’ Funding competition to improve access, support and participation for BAME groups in postgraduate research study.

More information on the funding can be found here.

Academic staff, including postgraduate research students, who have an interest in taking an anti-racist, structural approach to support BAME students into PGR study are encouraged to collaborate on the design of an existing project proposal or submit a new proposal.

In addition, all staff and students are also welcome to join the University’s project proposal selection committee.

Please note the deadlines for each of these opportunities are as follows:

  • 19 February – Expression of interest to be a panel member.
  • 19 February – Design collaborators for existing project proposals.
  • 26 February (at 4pm) – Submission of new project proposals.

Below is a document available to download with further guidance and a project proposal pro-forma. Please view this document before writing expressions of interest or proposals, which should be sent to J.R.Hill@lboro.ac.uk.
