AMBA re-accreditation confirms world-class status of The Loughborough MBA

Loughborough University School of Business and Economics has been re-accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) for the next five years.

This is the maximum an institution can be re-accredited for, demonstrating a continued commitment to excellence in management education.

AMBA accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education and is internationally recognised. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensures the highest calibre of teaching, curriculum and student interaction.

The following programmes have received the highest level of AMBA-accreditation:

Professor Stewart Robinson, Dean of the School of Business and Economics said: “We are delighted to receive this continued accreditation from AMBA for our MBA programmes. In recent years we have developed our programmes and provided flexibility for our students - this reaccreditation confirms the value of our efforts."

As part of the accreditation, one MBA alumni commented: “Getting a world-class MBA degree had been a long-time goal of mine and the Loughborough MBA proved to be exactly what I was looking for. Loughborough University is an exceptional institution where staff take a personal interest in the future, career, and welfare of students.”

Triple-accreditation

In addition to being consistently rated as a Top-10 UK business school in national league tables and among the Top-150 in the world for Business and Management (QS World University Rankings by Subject, 2021), AMBA re-accreditation forms an integral part of Loughborough’s ‘Triple crown’ of international accreditations from AACBS, EQUIS and AMBA – confirming the highest standards of business education, from research and teaching to facilities and student support.

Highly commended by AMBA

Members of AMBA’s accreditation panel, representing senior management at AMBA-accredited Business Schools globally, commended:

  • The flexibility of the accredited programmes at the School, noting that there were several different pathways that could be taken by students, all of which were stakeholder focused.
  • The collegiate culture at the School, with staff engaging with the programmes and plans to bring on new faculty.
  • The establishment of the new Executive and Professional Education Advisory panel, which will focus on the EMBA and the MBA programmes.

AMBA membership benefits

All current MBA students and recent MBA alumni of the School of Business & Economics are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 57,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.
