University key messages – new document available

The Corporate Communications team has created a new key messages document to support staff across the University, when promoting or talking about the University.

The document contains information on the University’s latest league table rankings, awards and accolades, staff and student numbers, our campuses and facilities, as well as key information in relation to specific areas such as teaching, research, enterprise, sport, equality and diversity, and sustainability.

With over 20,000 students and staff, two campuses, nine schools and numerous departments, research centres and campus partners, there is a lot to know about Loughborough University. The document has been designed to act as a helpful resource for staff when communicating with external audiences, whether it be prospective students and staff, parents, partners, stakeholders or the general public.

The document will also ensure that the information we use across all communications and promotional activity is clear, accurate, and unambiguous. The accuracy of our messaging is important as it boosts credibility and the authenticity of the message. It also prevents false or misleading statements being made.

The key messages document will be continuously updated as and when information becomes available. If you think any updates are needed please contact Lynsey Heap with your requests.

The document will also be developed with appropriate, additional messaging that may be identified. If you have any requests for specific information to be added to this document, that you think would be of use to others, please contact Lynsey Heap with your ideas.

If you need any advice and support with using the key messages externally, please speak to your School Marketing Officer or the Corporate Communications team in the first instance.

The document can be downloaded from the Marketing and Advancement website (University login required).
