Don't miss Happy Mondays' Acoustic Night

Unfortunately, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone this event until the new year. The online format has proved to be difficult for potential performers and we did not feel confident we could offer the usual varied line-up that people have come to expect from our Acoustic Nights.

Acoustic Night invites students and staff at Loughborough University to perform at an open mic night. The event features a variety of line-ups which showcase some of the best new talent on campus and across the county.

The event is open for all to enjoy but performances will be by Loughborough University students and staff only.

Music scholar Ollie Strickland will be your host for the evening. Ollie has just been announced as one of the music scholars for 2020/21 in the contemporary solo artist category. He is a contemporary guitarist, singer, pianist and the current Chair of LSU's renowned Tuxedo Swing Jazz Band.

Ollie and the other performers will be logged into Zoom for this online event and it will be live-streamed from here to the LU Arts Facebook page. Please note that some of the performances on the night will have been pre-recorded to ensure the best possible sound quality and to reduce the risk of technical problems.

Any students or members of staff who are interested in performing should email luarts@lboro.ac.uk by Friday 20 November.

This event is part of Happy Mondays – your weekly creative fix in partnership with Loughborough Students’ Union.
