Technicians: New survey opens to gather information on the impact of COVID-19 on technicians in Higher Education
The Technician Commitment, in partnership with the Science Council, Institute of Physics, Royal Society of Chemistry, Royal Society of Biology, Wellcome and the Research England funded TALENT programme are undertaking a survey to understand more fully the impact of COVID-19 on the technical community in higher education and research.
The technical community is at the forefront of the higher education and research sector’s response to the COVID-19. This survey will enable The Technician Commitment to learn more about the impact of the pandemic on working practices for technicians and to explore how technical contributions at this extraordinary time can be highlighted. It also aims to identify how to best support technical colleagues moving forwards.
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes and can be completed here. It is open until 31 May.
Responses are completely anonymous.
Your participation will inform future understanding of the roles of technicians and shape future resources and provision for the technical community.
