WHEN was founded in 2015 with the aim of speeding up gender equality and inclusion within the Higher Education sector. Its mission is simple: to support women to progress in their careers, and to support universities in becoming more diverse and inclusive.

Members of the network are given access to networking opportunities, mentoring, various events throughout the year, inspiring and relevant content in the form of news stories, interviews and academic articles, alongside the opportunity to change the status quo.

In her voluntary role, one of Adèle’s priorities will be not only to increase the network’s membership, but also to diversify it.

Commenting on her new role, Adèle said: “I’m thrilled to have taken up this new role with the Women’s Higher Education Network. This move aligns with the University’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and emphasises our focus on creating a culture of equal opportunity for all.”
