Loughborough supports students with free hot meals
The University is offering free hot meals for students facing financial hardship due to COVID-19.
If you need help with your meals, please email Gagan Kapoor, Head of Catering, at G.Kapoor@lboro.ac.uk with the subject line ‘Free evening meal request’. Please include the following information:
- B Number
- Contact email address
Due to the current situation, we are making a few changes to delivery arrangements. You will now be given ready meals to reheat in your residence to limit the number of visits on campus. You will be able to collect these from Royce dining hall between 3pm-5pm. Carrier bags will not be provided.
LSU President, Salomé Doré said: "Loughborough Students' Union is working with the University to support students as much as they can during these difficult times, particularly those who cannot go home or are struggling financially.
"Offering free meals is one way to make things easier, and we're pleased that the initiative has been put into place so quickly. We are very proud to be part of the #LboroFamily and will continue to do our best to support others."
Gagan Kapoor, the University’s Head of Catering commented: “We hope that we can provide a wholesome and hearty meal for everyone using the service during this time – it is a proud moment for our team to be able to help our students.”
Please note that free hot meals are for students in financial hardship.
