It is the perfect opportunity for doctoral researchers at both campuses to show off their work to a public audience.
This year, the Doctoral College is encouraging doctoral researchers in all Schools to try a creative and fun approach to present their work and experiences. Suggestions include:
- Baking your thesis and sharing this online – inspiration can be found by searching #BakeYourPhD on Twitter
- Writing a poem, song or rap
- Creating a poster
- Making a comic strip
- Writing a magazine or news article
- Filming a ‘breaking’ TV story
- Building or sculpting a scene

The Summer Showcase will also feature the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition where participants have just three minutes to explain their research using one static slide. Entries close on 22 June.
