Happy Mondays are back with a fantastic range of creative sessions for students
If you are looking to try your hand at a new craft in 2020, look no further than LU Arts’ Happy Mondays – creative sessions for students.
From making a macramé plant hanger to decorating lampshades for an LGBT+ performance night, there is a host of sessions on offer to take your fancy. All of the sessions are open to mixed abilities and materials are provided. In many cases, you’ll create something to take away with you at the end of the night.
The craft sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis and places are limited. A £3 deposit is required to book your place and on completion of the session you will receive the equivalent of £3 in loyalty points which can be spent at the Students’ Union.
Please note the deposit is not refundable if you do not attend the session.
The Happy Mondays programme also includes performance nights that are open to students, staff and members of the public. These include music nights, cabaret and the annual comedy club as part of Leicester Comedy Festival.
Performance nights are free for students to attend (with the exception of Cabaret, students £3) and £5 for staff and members of the public. Booking is advised as tickets sell fast – you can buy them online or purchase them on the door.
All of the events take place in Cogs in the union.
More information on all the sessions can be found below:
