Sustainability newsletter relaunched

The Sustainability newsletter has been relaunched today (Tuesday 18 February).

The launch coincides with Sustainability Week and the University’s signing of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Re-launching with a new look, this edition will feature articles by students, news from the Landscaping and Gardening Society and an update on biodiversity on campus. Each article is linked to an SDG to show how the University is beginning to embed the goals into work done on campus – whether this is academic research, student volunteering or internal campaigns.

A new edition of the newsletter will be released every 6-8 weeks and staff and students can sign up here to become an Environmental Champion or Environmental Enthusiast to receive it.

Amber Quraishi, Environmental Management Assistant said: “The updated newsletter acts as an informative piece to update students, staff and the local community on the activities of the team and the University.

“We are constantly working to make a positive change and we want to highlight and celebrate this, whilst educating readers on what they can do too.”

The latest edition can be read here.
