The IAS Residential Fellowship programme is an exciting development for the Institute, as it is the first competitive fellowship scheme in their portfolio that permits international scholars to apply directly to spend a period of time at the University pursuing a focused body of research.
The fellowships are open to leading international researchers from across all career stages and disciplines.
In addition to established academics, applications from scholars, artists, writers, public intellectuals and policymakers whose research profiles resonate with areas of specialism at Loughborough are also welcome.
Professor Marsha Meskimmon, Director of the IAS, said: “We are very excited to be adding this scheme to the portfolio of opportunities available through the IAS.
“It is a genuine development in establishing Loughborough University as an international research destination, and I would ask colleagues across our campuses to advertise this new scheme widely through their international networks to ensure that we attract the very best researchers to the University.”
Applications to the scheme will need to demonstrate how the research proposed will extend Loughborough’s international research collaborations and networks, encourage innovative interdisciplinary research, and catalyse new and emergent directions for future research projects.
The scheme will be accepting applications until 15 May 2020. Information about the scheme as well as how to apply can be found on the IAS website.
IAS Residential Fellowships are for a period of one month, tenable at any point between 1 September 2020 - 31 August 2021, as agreed between the Institute and Fellow.
