Loughborough family share special messages with the winter Class of 2020

Alumni from around the world have shared special messages to congratulate our winter graduates. From Nigeria to Hong Kong, and France to Trinidad and Tobago, alumni have shared why they stay in touch with Loughborough, how they connect with fellow alumni in their countries, and have shared some top tips along the way.

It has been an exceptionally difficult year for everyone, not least for those who have completed degrees in recent months.

With restrictions and social distancing still in place, graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2020 are postponed. Thankfully the Loughborough family can always be relied on and have been helping graduates to celebrate.

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Robert Allison, has also shared a message as part of this celebratory video, which features alumni such as Red Arrows pilot, Jon Bond, and Hong Kong Alumni group president, Patrick Lee.

In addition, the University is marking the occasion via social media in the next couple of weeks and the winter Class of 2020 are being invited to share photographs. From a selfie next to a landmark to photos with family, winter graduates are asked to share their celebrations for a chance to win a Loughborough-themed prize.

We’re looking for photos from around the world, representing countries and cultures globally, to show the reach of the Loughborough family.

Follow along and join in on social media using #LboroGrad2020 to celebrate the achievements of Loughborough’s winter Class of 2020.
