Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity staff survey results: Gender

In the Vice-Chancellor’s newsletter, he shared some of the results of the staff survey that we undertook earlier this year specifically the results focusing on race equality at Loughborough.

As the Vice-Chancellor said, by finding out more about what we are doing well and where we need to do better, we can improve our policies, practices and culture and make the University a more diverse, equitable and inclusive place to work and study. The results are available to view here.

The second part of the survey was regarding gender and inclusivity more generally. Please take the time to read and reflect on the information on the website. A lot of work has taken place over the last couple of years through the Gender Equality PMB, the Equality of Opportunity Task and Finish Group with Union colleagues, and through Human Resources Committee. We recognise that there is some way to go before all colleagues and students feel valued, respected and engaged. You have my commitment that I, and my leadership team, will lead efforts to do just this.

If you have questions, comments or would like to get involved, please contact Adèle MacKinlay, our Director of HR and Organisational Development and the University’s Champion for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

More information about the 2021 priorities within the People and Organisational Development Strategy is available on our website.
