The company, based at the Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park, launched the charitable initiative in January 2019 and have already awarded £100,000 to 18 organisations that support a variety of community projects in the local area.
Bids between £1,000 - £25,000 can be submitted and applicants do not have to be registered charities. However, please note that groups must meet the Charity Commission Criteria to be considered.
One recent recipient of the Charitable Trust is Steps, a centre dedicated to helping children with cerebral palsy and other motor disorders. They have been a lifeline for LUSEP Marketing Officer, Katy Widdowson, and her family. You can read more about their story and how Steps have used the funding here.
Applications are open until 25 September and can be completed here.
