BBC Sport presenter and Loughborough alumnus gives media masterclass to students and volunteers

BBC Sport presenter and Loughborough alumnus Ben Croucher visited the University last week to present a media masterclass to students and volunteers.

Ben – who regularly presents and commentates on sport for media outlets such as BBC News, Radio 5 Live and BBC World Service – shared his top tips on media presenting and interviewing as part of an afternoon session which took place on Wednesday 9 October.

Present at the event were Coach and Volunteer Academy (CVA) volunteer students as well as students studying the Communication and Sport module as part of their degree.

The attendees were able to participate in a range of interactive activities such as mock interviews and scripting match reports, as well as a Q&A session with Ben.

One of the students said: “It was the perfect session covering the essential information regarding media commentary, presenting and interviewing”.

Ben Croucher graduated from Loughborough University in 2010 with a degree in Sports Science and Management. During his studies he participated in various extracurricular activities, including a role as Head of Media for LSU Media.
