New presentation series – Spotlight – launched by the Centre for Academic Practice
A new series of topical panel presentations around common learning and teaching themes will be launched on 20 November, run by the Centre for Academic Practice and endorsed by the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Teaching).
The first in the Spotlight series will focus on Group Work Assessment where an expert panel from across the University will share their experiences. They will discuss University policy and the revamped guidance documents, followed by a Q & A session. Examples of topics for discussion include designing group projects, peer assessment, group forming and managing group conflict.
Speakers include:
- Dr Mary Brewer - School of Social Sciences and Humanities
- Dr Ian Graham - School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering
- Dr James Knowles - School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering
- Dr Jo Barnes and Dr Victoria Haines - School of Design and Creative Arts
During the event we will launch this year’s Teaching Awards with details of a new category within the Teaching Innovation Awards.
Lunch will be available from 1pm with presentations starting at 1.15pm.
Please book a place on my.HR here.
For our Loughborough London colleagues we are also live streaming the event here and will be inviting participation in the Question and Answer session through our online polling system Vevox.
