Find your passion for hip hop with LU Arts four-week course

PLEASE NOTE THIS HAS NOW BEEN CANCELLED - APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.

LU Arts is offering students a four-week course in hip hop this term. This course builds on LU Arts’ programme of regular one-off workshops, by giving students the opportunity to develop their skills to a higher level than is possible through a one-off session.

The hip hop course will be run by dancer Taiwo Bamiduro and each week will focus on a different aspect of hip hop to build up your overall skill set by the end of the four sessions:

  • Tuesday 19 November, 7pm-9pm, Fusion: waving
  • Tuesday 26 November, 7pm-9pm, Fusion: popping
  • Tuesday 3 December, 7pm-9pm, Cogs: tutting
  • Tuesday 10 December, 7pm-9pm, Fusion: robot and animation

Anyone can take part, from complete beginners to those who want to improve their existing skills. The total cost of the course is £12.

Taiwo has been dancing for 11 years and competes around the world. Last year he was crowned the popping champion of an international competition in Portugal and he has been the adult popping champion in the Go Hard or Go Home street dance battles for the last two years (2018 & 2019)

There is a very limited number of spaces for the course – early booking is advised. Please note that you cannot sign up for individual sessions. Please ensure you can attend all four dates before booking.
