Enterprise Awards – vote now and celebrate the University’s game-changing researchers

Voting is now open for the winners of this year’s Enterprise Awards – Loughborough University’s annual celebration of academic and entrepreneurial excellence.

This year’s Awards recognise achievement across four categories, and the winners will be announced on Tuesday 21 May.

The categories and nominees are:

Impact

The winner of this category will be decided by a public vote. You are invited to review the nominee profiles and cast your vote by visiting the Awards website. Voting closes at midnight on Sunday 19 May.

Head injury prevention

  • Professor Andy Harland and Dr Sean Mitchell – Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering (Sports Technology Institute)

  • Professor Mohammed Quddus – Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering

 Improving the National Citizen Service

  • Dr Sarah Mills – Geography and Environment

Physical activity for adults with spinal cord injuries

  • Professor Vicky Tolfrey and Professor Kathleen Martin-Ginis – Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences (Peter Harrison Centre for Disability Sport)

Reducing HGV blind spots

  • Dr Steve Summerskill, Dr Russell Marshall, Dr Abby Paterson and Anthony Eland – Loughborough Design School

SONG – a pioneering solar energy social enterprise

  • Professor Ed Brown, Dr Richard Blanchard and Dr Jon Cloke – Geography and Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering

 This year, the achievements of the University’s graduate entrepreneurs will also be recognised in a special category, Outstanding Potential. The winners will be profiled and announced at the Awards evening.
