Deadline dates to prevent loss of data approaching

Over the last three years, IT Services have been delivering a large transformational change project to move staff to newer and more versatile services.

This project will soon come to an end, with outgoing services being removed no later than 1 June 2019.

Please take a moment to read the information below to make sure you take action if you haven’t done so already to prevent any disruption or loss of data.

Affected Services:

  • Windows 7
  • Individual Workspaces (U: Drive)
  • Google Services for Staff

Key Dates

Present - 31 May: Final Windows 7 upgrade period – staff can carry out the upgrades without IT coordination*

1 June: Google Services for staff will be removed from operation (except for Google Scholar)

1June: All remaining staff data stored in individual workspaces will be migrated to individual OneDrive accounts.

More information and instructions can be found on the dedicated IT webpages:

If you have any questions or queries regarding these changes, please contact IT.Services@lboro.ac.uk.

*It is strongly recommended staff members contact IT Services beforehand to let them know they are planning to upgrade to Windows 10
