Loughborough University boosts charity office move

Loughborough University has provided Falcon Support Services with a boost by donating office furniture to coincide with the charity’s office move.

The University’s Furnishing and Domestic Services team provided a range of chairs, desks and filing cabinets.

The charity works with people in Loughborough who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or vulnerable in the community.

As their services expanded Falcon needed to move into a bigger office space. The new office needed to be furnished but costs were a significant factor for the charity. Fortunately, the University was able to save them considerable expense by stepping in and donating items that were surplus to requirements.

The furniture is still in good condition. A team from Falcon picked out what they needed, with the help of Dawn Jalland, the Furnishing Co-ordinator at the University.

She said: “It is always satisfying to see unwanted furniture be given a new home by a local charity”.

The new furniture has helped Falcon create a good working environment for their staff to support service users and run the charity effectively.

Rachel Hall, Deputy CEO of Falcon Support Services said: “We are really grateful for the donation of office furniture from the University. It is great to receive this support and work together to get this furniture back in use”.
