Athens account no longer required to access library resources online
You no longer need an Athens account to access any online library resources.
Access will be moved over to single sign-on (SSO) using your University username and password. From 9 September you will no longer see an option to login in with Athens.
If using the resources off campus, it is recommended that you use the University’s VPN service. Alternatively, you can look for an institutional or shibboleth login on the resource you want to use and find Loughborough University in the list. You can then log in using your University IT account username and password when prompted.
No access will be lost to any of the online resources, and the Library is not expecting any downtime.
