Are you interested in a career in the creative, marketing or media industry?
On 1 May the Careers Network and Loughborough University London will be hosting an event for students interested in pursuing a future in these fields.
This event covers careers in everything from marketing and PR to radio and theatre.
Students that attended last year described the event as “insightful”, “helpful” and “enlightening”.
It is open to all year groups studying degrees in:
- Graphic communications and Illustration
- Fine Art
- English, Drama and Publishing
- Product Design
- Communications and Media Studies
- All Business courses that include marketing modules
- Active students from LSU Media
The day includes a keynote presentation by award-winning digital marketing agency, Jellyfish. If you’re interested in marketing, this is not to be missed.
There will be an opportunity to finetune your creative portfolio ready for applications with feedback provided by those in the industry.
IBM, the Wall Street Journal and Ogilvy UK are amongst the companies that will deliver career-focused workshops.
Take the chance to ask experts your burning questions.
The event also includes networking from 7:15pm where you can meet and mingle with employers, students, staff and alumni.
One student who attended last year commented: “There’s nothing more valuable than hearing about companies and connecting with those in the industry face to face.”
Employer Engagement Events Manager, Emma Bagley said: “The line-up this year is really exciting with more employers than ever before coming to engage with students.”
Free transport is offered for those based at Loughborough University. Coaches will leave at 10:15am from outside the Students’ Union.
A £5 booking fee is required to secure your place and cover refreshments. Tickets are available to purchase online here.
