Students: Opportunity to hear from Loughborough’s Red Arrows alumni as part of Personal Best programme

An event will be held this Friday (2 November) where students can hear from two alumni who are part of the Red Arrows squad.

Personal Best: My Story is a series of events which will launch this week with Simon Taylor (former Red 6) and Jon Bond (Red 7), who will share their story of how they achieved their dreams of making it as a renowned Red Arrow pilot.

Simon graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Ergonomics back in 2002, and Jon studied Air Transport Management and also completed a master’s in Transport Policy and Business Management at the University in 2006.

Students will also have the opportunity to ask the two alumni questions as part of the session.

The event will take place from 6:30pm in Room J104, Edward Herbert Building.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To book a place, please register online here.

Personal Best is a new, bespoke development programme that has been specifically designed for Loughborough University students.

The initiative offers the opportunity for students to reflect on their skills and abilities, set goals for themselves and work towards these through a range of activities and resources.

The programme covers academic, professional and personal development, such as study and workplace skills as well as mental and physical wellbeing. Find out more on the dedicated webpages.
