Loughborough has risen to 5th place in the Times Higher Education (THE) ‘Table of Tables’ 2019, marking a tremendous year for the University.

The 2019 ‘Table of Tables’ ranks the UK’s top 30 universities based on the combined results of the three main domestic university league tables – the Times and Sunday Times Good University GuideThe Guardian University Guide, and the Complete University Guide – to provide a snapshot of how universities are viewed by national newspapers.

Loughborough is in the top ten of every national university league table, as well as being ranked first in the Midlands. It was named University of the Year by The Times and Sunday Times University Guide 2019; the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2018 University of the Year; and best university in the world for sports-related subjects in the global 2018 QS higher education league table for the second year running.

Speaking about Loughborough’s performance in the 2019 ‘Table of Tables’, the University’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Robert Allison said: “Our 5th place ranking in the ‘Table of Tables’ tops off another incredible year for Loughborough.

“The University is going from strength to strength, which is down to the dedication and hard work of staff and students across our campuses and the Students’ Union. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved.”
