Opportunity to present your ideas to the BBC

Whether you’re a photographer, filmmaker, illustrator, artist or even a meme maker, the BBC wants to hear from you if you love sport and have a great idea.

On Tuesday 4 December, Laura Milroy from the BBC will be visiting the University to talk more about this initiative.

They are particularly interested in covering the following sports:

  • Women’s Football
  • Men’s Football
  • European Football
  • UFC
  • Boxing
  • Basketball
  • American Football
  • Gaming/ eSports
  • Bringing sport and fitness to other events

They are also interested in covering a variety of topics which can be humorous, showcasing an incredible skill, telling a story, or something totally unique.

If your idea appeals to them, you can expect to see your idea promoted through the BBC Sport’s social media channels.

With this in mind, ideas should be targeted towards a 16-24 year-old audience and be relevant to share on social platforms. Proposals should be innovative, bold, authentic and sharable.

You must be aged between 16-24 to talk part and be passionate about sport. The event takes place from 3pm in Room U006, Brockington Building.

Below are some examples of existing content on their channels:
