Marketing and Advancement team win two industry awards

The University’s Marketing and Advancement team picked up two awards recently at the 2018 Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Midlands Pride Awards.

They won Gold in the Outstanding In-House Public Relations Team category.

The CIPR said: “Loughborough’s strategy is driven by data and emotional understanding which was a winning combination in the judges’ eyes, and clearly delivers strong results across the board, with the team beating all of their targets and taking on new briefs. The judges were impressed that three interns had gone on to hold full time positions, demonstrating Loughborough’s commitment to supporting entrance to the industry. Their #SpitHappens campaign broke records for stem cell donors signing up in a single day and it is evident why this team are rightly seen as sector leaders.”

The Marketing and Advancement team also picked up Silver in the Internal Communications Campaign category for the Heart 2 Heart initiative, which saw 1,479 staff, students and members of the community trained in CPR over the course of one day.
