Mature adults needed for Loughborough fitness study

Mature adults in the Loughborough area that would like to be fitter and more mobile are asked to take part in a study.

The University is looking for enthusiastic older adults (upper age limit 65-years-old) to participate in a research project that looks into the effects of an exercise class on health and ageing.

The study will require volunteers to participate in a one-hour BODYPUMP™ class twice-a-week for 12 weeks and have before and health tests performed.

The globally-recognised class is a weight-based workout in a class setting. The study is free to take part in and the classes will be held in Holywell Gym at 6.30pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Those interested in taking part should email e.c.akam@lboro.ac.uk.

The study is funded by Les Mills ™ and the results will be shared between Les Mills ™ and Loughborough University.
