School of Business and Economics launches new Senior Leaders Apprenticeship programmes

Loughborough University’s School of Business and Economics has developed a suite of postgraduate apprenticeship programmes for organisations that wish to develop, promote and retain their talented managers using the Apprenticeship Levy.

The MSc in Strategic Leadership provides an opportunity for an organisation – or consortium of organisations – to commission an MSc programme for a group of high-potential managers, customised to the organisation’s strategic agenda.

This offers an employer the opportunity to strengthen their leadership pipeline, improve retention and benefit from work-based assignments that help solve business challenges and support the organisation’s strategy.

The Executive MBA apprenticeship programme provides a route for employees to develop leadership and management skills with a specific focus on maximising business performance and enabling students to fulfil their potential.

The programme focuses on giving students the knowledge and skills to manage complex business challenges, problem solve creative solutions and lead innovative change programmes.

Vicki Unwin, Business Development Manager of the School of Business and Economics, said: “Our masters-level apprenticeships are work-based and can be flexible to meet the specific needs of the organisations and the sectors they operate in.

“Employers can choose either a customised programme where managers from a single organisation enrol as a group or a consortium programme on which organisations work together.”

She continued: “Employers who might be confused about the Apprenticeship Levy can talk to us about their eligibility; it can be an excellent opportunity to develop leadership talent. The School of Business and Economics has years of experience of supporting those returning to learning to succeed to masters level.

“Our dedicated Apprenticeships team will offer full support with the administration and management throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, and each apprentice will be assigned a workplace tutor by the University to ensure they are fully supported to successfully achieve their full potential.”

Loughborough University’s School of Business and Economics is a UK Top-10 business school and approved provider of Apprenticeship Levy Services.
