Students invited to apply for LU Arts' Music Scholarship

LU Arts' Music Scholarship 2017/18 is now accepting entries.

Up to three students will be awarded a scholarship, each receiving £500 to spend on improving their skills further.

They will also perform at the annual Music Scholarship Concert, which will take place this year on Wednesday 2 May.

Musical talent on any instrument/voice, in any style will be considered. Passion and commitment will be weighted as heavily as musical ability.

Written applications will be assessed by an expert panel, with shortlisted candidates invited to audition at the end of term.

The competition is open to all current Loughborough students*, including exchange students here for the year.

The winners in 2016/17 were Jieye Qin (piano), Fred Cazals (cello), Han Ye (piano) and George Rossouw (drums).

Those interested in entering can download an application form here. It must be returned to luarts@lboro.ac.uk by midday on Wednesday 21 February.

*Previous applicants may apply again, although the previous winners cannot.
