Students: dust off your aprons and get ready for the Halls Bake Off competition!
Tomorrow (4 December), 2013’s Great British Bake Off winner and Loughborough alumna Frances Quinn will be visiting the University to launch an exciting new competition.
Taking place in Room 1 at the Students’ Union from 7pm-9pm, Frances will be baking something delicious as part of a live demonstration and will be discussing her approach to baking, which is free for both students and staff to attend.
As well as answering questions about baking or her experience on the popular show, she will also be launching the start of the Halls Bake Off competition, where the winning student will receive a £500 cash prize!
The first phase of the competition will see each hall host its own competition, where it will find its very own star baker who will win £50 and a free baking workshop.
After the star bakers of each hall have been announced, these will then battle it out against one another with a new challenge set by Frances.
