Childcare Vouchers deadline approaching

The deadline to register with Computershare, the University’s childcare voucher scheme, is fast approaching.

Computershare is available to new applicants (you can only register for vouchers once your baby has been born, this includes siblings of your unborn child), providing they have registered with the scheme by the end of August 2018, for the vouchers to be created mid-September 2018 in order to meet the scheme deadline of 4 October 2018.

The Childcare voucher scheme is a government initiative that allows working parents to exchange a portion of their salary for vouchers before their usual tax and National Insurance (NI) contributions are taken.

These vouchers are then used to pay a registered childcare provider and can be used to pay for both one off and regular childcare arrangements.

Please visit the Computershare Voucher Services webpage for a Parent Information Pack. The University employer's reference number is 0000362116.

Should you not meet the criteria above and you are not already registered with Computershare, you may be eligible to register for the government led Tax Free Childcare (TFC) scheme.

Further information can be found here. Please note, from October 2018, the TFC scheme will be your only childcare voucher option (if eligible).
