University cleaners are runners-up at the annual BACHE awards

Two cleaners from Loughborough University were runners up in two different categories at this year’s British Association of Cleaning in Higher Education (BACHE) Annual Awards.

The awards took place earlier in the year and saw Patricia Knight take second place for Cleaning Supervisor of the Year and Stacy Pitchford named runner-up for the Cleaner of the Year 2017.

They were presented with their certificates by BACHE Chair Anthony Tyrrell and Lynn Webster of Lynn Webster Consultants Ltd after being recognised for their professionalism in their role.

BACHE was formed in 2004 with funding from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and currently has 71 university members from across the UK. The association acts as a forum for Higher Education institutes to network and share ideas of best practice to ultimately improve cleaning services across campuses.
