PhD student returns to London’s Benjamin Franklin House Museum

Dr Christian DeFeo, a PhD student at Loughborough’s Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering is returning to London’s prestigious Benjamin Franklin House to deliver a talk, following the success of his previous appearance in February.

‘Benjamin Franklin's Network of Innovation’ will consider Benjamin’s vital node on the biggest scientific network of the eighteenth century.

The talk discusses Benjamin Franklin as a modern individual, but also Franklin’s network and the composition of it, and delves into how it helped him advance the cause of science.

The Benjamin Franklin House, built in 1730, is the only remaining home of Franklin. It now opens as a dynamic museum and offers a historical experience, a Student Science Centre and a Scholarship Centre.

The talk will take place on Thursday 19 October at 6:30pm. Tickets are £8 and can be bought online here.
