We are saddened to announce that Katie Wardle, a member of staff in the Careers Network, died last weekend after a long illness.

Katie had been with the Careers Network team for more than 11 years, as a student adviser and information officer, and as a key member of the Loughborough Employability Award and Graduate Destinations survey teams.

Quiet and unassuming, Katie was hugely committed to the University and our students. She was always positive, even during her fight with illness, and will be greatly missed by her many friends and colleagues at Loughborough.

A memory book will be available in the Bridgeman reception area from Monday 22nd May for those who wish to share their thoughts, memories and pictures of Katie.

Her funeral will be held on Friday 26th May at 11.30am at Loughborough Cemetery. A coach will be available for anyone wishing to attend from the University. It will leave from outside the Bridgeman Building at 11am and will return to the University afterwards.
