Inspiring events to give prospective students a taste of life at Loughborough

A series of ‘Inspiring Minds’ events at Loughborough University this summer will give year 12 students a taster of university life.

Hosted by the School and College Liaison team, the events will introduce prospective students to a range of degree subjects through a day of engaging activities on campus.

Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of mini-lectures and workshops related to their subject of interest.

Those attending the Art and Design event will also have the chance to tour the subject degree shows where they can view work produced by current final-year students.

The upcoming events are as follows:

  • Inspiring Minds: Art and Design (Thursday 15 June)
  • Inspiring Minds: Engineering (Monday 3 July)
  • Inspiring Minds: English and Drama (Tuesday 4 July)
  • Inspiring Minds: Social Sciences (Wednesday 5 July)

In addition to the subject-specific workshops, the University’s Student Ambassadors will provide an optional campus tour at the end of each day to show visitors the range of facilities available at Loughborough.

There will also be an opportunity to learn more about fees and funding and how to write an effective personal statement.

The events are free to attend but booking is essential. For further details and to book a place, visit the School and College Liaison website.
