Vice-Chancellor visiting the staff in Print and Post at the University

20 Dec 2017

Print and post staff acknowledged for outstanding service

Vice-Chancellor Bob Allison paid a surprise visit on Tuesday to Print and Post room staff.

The visit was to thank and congratulate staff members for their work ethic and the excellent customer service provided to both students and staff after a number of significant changes occurred within their department over the last twelve months.

During the year the team transferred to the Marketing and Advancement team and the Herbert Manzoni building. Despite ongoing building work and the need to adapt to new working practices, the team continued to operate, including at peak times. They also delivered excellent customer service in the days following Black Friday where footfall increased significantly and over 1,200 parcels were delivered.

Head of Creative and Print Services, Alison Freer presented staff with gift vouchers as a thank you.

Of the team Alison said:

“Over the last 12 months colleagues have worked extremely hard to integrate print, post and parcels services. Despite going through a great deal of change the team have shown resilience, flexibility and above all a determination to maintain excellent customer service. I am delighted that their efforts have been rewarded.”

The changes within the team have contributed to a better student experience, with a more seamless service available as a result of longer opening hours and additional services.
