Associate Dean awarded Principal Fellow status

Professor Joanna Bullard, Associate Dean for Teaching for the School of Social, Political and Geographical Sciences, has been awarded the status of Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

The HEA Principal Status is awarded to highly experienced members of staff whose academic careers are combined with substantial strategic responsibilities in connection with key aspects of teaching and supporting learning.

Professor Bullard joined the University in 1998 as a Lecturer in Geography. She became the Associate Dean for Teaching for the School of Social, Political and Geographical Sciences in 2014 and is the current chair of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) Geography degree accreditation panel.

Professor Bullard is the second member of academic staff at Loughborough to achieve this prestigious status.
