Staff members from Enterprise complete volunteering day

Staff members from the Enterprise Office took part in a volunteering day with The National Forest last month.

The day was run as part of the Black to Green project which celebrates the transformation of the areas coalfields into diverse, wildlife rich woodland.

20 members of the team headed down to the National Forest to help clear woodland paths and manage trees and shrubs for the benefit of the wildlife and the public. This involved felling small trees, coppicing shrubbery and there was even an opportunity to take home bean poles for the garden!

Bhavna Patel from the Enterprise team, said: “The day was a great success, we will definitely be arranging one for next year too!”
