Award winning guitarist to perform at University next week

Award winning guitarist and composer Martin Taylor is bringing his musical talent to the University next week as part of his solo tour.

His UK tour marks 45 years as a touring artist and also celebrates his 60th birthday.  

Martin’s remarkable music career has spanned over a five decade period. He currently spends most of the year travelling the world, playing in concert halls in Europe, North America, Japan, Asia and Australasia.

As well as solo performances, Martin has collaborated with musicians from many different musica genres including Stephane Grappelli, Jeff Beck, Chet Atkins, Bill Wyman, George Harrison and Jamie Cullum.

In 2010 Martin launched his innovative company ‘Martin Taylor Guitar Academy’. His online guitar school is currently subscribed to by guitarists in more than 58 countries.  

The performance is running on Wednesday 2 November, 7:30pm at Martin Hall Theatre, Loughborough University. Tickets are £13.00 (£10.00 concessions) and £5.00 for students and can be bought online at arts.lboro.ac.uk or from the LU Arts Box Office, Loughborough Town Hall on 01509 231914.
