Apply now for your 2016-17 parking permit

The University’s Travel Plan has been updated and as a result University parking permits will not automatically renew for the 2016-17 academic year.

All staff, students and tenants are now required to re-apply for their parking permit. Everybody bringing a vehicle onto campus is required to re-submit their details via the ParkIt website.

Production of the updated Travel Plan follows a campus wide consultation process. The new plan sets out a management strategy to deliver the University’s sustainable travel objectives through a package of measures which promote and encourage more sustainable travel choices through behaviour change.

The overall aim of the Travel Plan is to ensure that Loughborough is an accessible University for staff, students and visitors without negatively impacting on the surrounding area.

The new scheme aims to increase emphasis on student and staff health and wellbeing by continuing to encourage ‘active’ travel on campus, improving the road network to reduce congestion and provide a safe environment for pedestrians and cyclists.

Applications for new permits open 13 June.

New permits will come into effect on 1 August.
