Planned Maintenance: Staff Email

On Thursday 4th August 2016, IT Services will be making changes to the autodiscover DNS record which many email applications use to configure your email setup automatically (including Outlook on both Windows and Mac).

How will the works affect me? 

Following the change some email applications may take a little longer to connect to email than normal, some may show a warning like this:

Additionally some applications may prompt for credentials requiring you to enter your email address and password. This is expected behaviour and should only occur once.


The work will take place on Thursday 4th August 2016 between 8am and 10am.

This work is part of ongoing service improvements to support future Microsoft Office 365 Cloud Service for staff and students. Further information on this can be found here:
