University shortlisted at WPM Education User Conference Awards

The University has been shortlisted for the Innovation and Effectiveness in Online Payments Award at the WPM conference for their submission on student parking permits.

WPM is the market leader in online payment systems and processes for the higher and further education sector.

This award is presented to the institution that has made exemplary use of online payments in the HE/FE sector, taking an innovative and effective approach which has improved the customer experience, increased efficiency, and reduced costs.

The winners will be revealed at the WPM Annual User Conference on 10 February 2016. The conference brings together WPM users from across the HE and FE sectors so that they can network, hear from industry experts, and share their own experiences and best practice.

Online Store Manager in IT Services, Jo Brewin, comments: “It’s really exciting to make the shortlist for this award as there are many institutions that have done some amazingly innovative and effective things with their Stores.  The case I put forward for this award was for the student car parking permits being put online.  Corporate Services have significantly improved their efficiency through using the store and in just a few months have taken an income of over £76,000, plus the saving in staff time.“
