LSU introduces ‘Fresh Thursday’

Loughborough Students’ Union is shaking up their events calendar with a brand new night, Fresh Thursday.

Following student demand for more non-alcoholic driven nights at the SU, Fresh Thursday promises to bring back freshers favourites alongside the opportunity to run your own events.

Here’s what you need to know…

What is ‘Fresh’?

Fresh Thursdays is a brand new night at the SU filled with fresh events, fresh opportunities and fresh thinking.

The night provides students with popular events such as the Roller Disco and Raveminton, as well as the opportunity for students to lead on the night themselves with society discussion panels or cultural evenings.

What inspired Fresh?

In the annual student survey, the SU received many comments about the lack of non-alcoholic events outside of the freshers period. As a result, students will now have the option to enjoy a night out that provides non-alcoholic activities.

What about Universal Thursday?

Universal Thursday will now be held fortnightly on a Saturday evening and will aim to reach out to postgrads, mature students and international students.

The first Fresh event of the year will launch on 4 February.
