Success at Your Education Week

Students were helped to find their preferred learning style as part of this year’s Your Education Week.

The aim of the week was to make students aware of the different techniques they can use in order to personalise their own learning.

There were a number of different activities and conferences across campus to get involved in, including an Academic Summit where Loughborough Students’ Union Education Executive Officer Lewis Wood shared details of the progress made so far in 2016/17 and his top education priorities.

The Library and Maths Education Centre provided students with helpful hints and tips ahead of exam period in the New Year.

A conference for the postgraduate community also took place which featured a range of talks from different speakers and a question and answer session with the Academic leadership team and Union Executive Team.

The week received both positive and constructive feedback, and proved popular amongst students who shared their opinions on the academic experience. There were more than a thousand responses to the Your Education Week survey giving further insight into how students like to learn and an in-depth feedback on a number of courses.

Your Education Week ran earlier this month from 28 November to 2 December. In the New Year, LSU will be running Keep Calm Week to help students de-stress during the exam period.
