EU Referendum: Government to safeguard funding for research and innovation
Following the outcome of the EU Referendum, the Government has announced safeguards to funding in a commitment to maintain the UK’s status as a world leader in science, research and innovation.
The Treasury will underwrite funding for approved Horizon 2020 projects applied for before the UK leaves the European Union, even when specific projects continue beyond the UK’s departure from the EU.
