NT Live presents The Deep Blue Sea

LU Arts and Flix are back this September bringing a new screening of Terence Rattigan’s post-war drama from National Theatre (NT) Live.

Helen McCrory, known for her role in Penny Dreadful and Peaky Blinders, appears alongside Tom Burke of War and Peace in the devastating masterpiece, The Deep Blue Sea.

This new, critically acclaimed production by Carrie Cracknell tells the story of Helen Collyer who is found by her neighbours in a West London flat in 1952. Following a failed suicide attempt, her story prompts the tale of a tempestuous affair with a former RAF pilot and the breakdown of her marriage to a High Court judge.

The Deep Blue Sea will be screened on 1September at 7pm in the Cope Auditorium, Edward Barnsley building.
