Call for runners to take part in charity relay

Runners from Loughborough are wanted to take part in the Kenya Peace Torch Relay coming to the University this October.

The event, taking place between 21-30 October, will see runners aiming to complete 1000k over 10 days. The 10x10k relays are open to 10 runners at each location across the UK who are able to run a 10k sub 70 minutes.

Runners will be setting off from Loughborough on 22 October, running from Loughborough University to Kegworth. Those wishing to take part will be met at the University to start the eighth leg alongside Rob Young and Adam Holland who will be running the entire event at 60 miles a day for 10 days.

The relay has been organised in support of the Aegis Trust to raise funds to establish a school for peace in Northern Kenya.
