Loughborough’s most talented musicians take to the stage

Three of the University's most outstanding music students are set to perform together in a free lunchtime concert at the Cope Auditorium, 4 May.

Each year, LU Arts selects three musically talented students to receive an annual Music Scholarship Award.

Applications for the scholarship are reviewed by a panel of judges, who then invite the most impressive candidates to showcase their skills at a live audition.

From these auditions, the judges select three winners who each receive £500 and have the opportunity to perform in the annual Music Scholarship Concert.

This year's award winners are classical vocalist Sarah Jones, flautist Hannah Rayner and George Newbould who plays the cornet.

The concert is open to everyone and will begin at 12.30pm.
