October Sustainability Newsletter available to view now

Staff might be interested in the following updates from the Sustainability team.

The October newsletter focuses on two things this month, the launch of ‘Whole Earth’ and the harvesting events taking place on campus.

The WHOLE EARTH? exhibition is based on the idea that today’s young people, students and universities can help lead society to a more sustainable future. It is designed to help stimulate the creativity of those getting involved, making a significant contribution to global society. Students and tutors are invited to articulate the kind of world they want to live in and share their research and ideas about how to create a safe and secure society.

WHOLE EARTH?, organised by the Hard Rain Project and National Union of Students, will be exhibited in Shirley Pearce Square from the 5-31 October. It is being championed by Professor Steve Rothberg and the launch will be on the 7 October at 11am.

With preparations in full swing for this year’s harvest festival, Fruit Routes have a packed schedule of events for you to get involved with. From the campus ‘Apple Bake Off’ to the harvest exchange, there are plenty of ways that you can take part.
